Vijay Sai Deverakonda was born on 9 May 1989 in Achampet, Telangana, India. He was born to Govardhana Rao and Madhavi Deverakonda. His brother is working in a film. Vijay made his debut acting in 2011 playing a famous cricketer Ravi Babu’s, Nuvvila. He then starred in the Telugu film Life is Beautiful, directed by Sekhar Kammula, but was not as successful as he expected. In 2015, he co-starred with Telugu actor Nani in Yevade Subramaniam. In 2016, Devarakonda playing as the lead role in the movie Pelli Choopul directed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. The film went a huge hit and won the Best Featured film in Telugu 2016.
After his complete performance in Pelli Choopul, He made his breakthrough movie Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead role. His film received a lot of criticism and praise for playing a bold role in Arjun Reddy. Eventually, the film led him to won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu(2017).
