Thalapathy 67(T67) Update Today: Release Date, Cast, Budget

Thalapathy 67 is a highly anticipated new Bombay gangster film written and directed by Lokesh Kannagaraj. The film marks the second collaboration between Vijay (Thalapathy), Lokesh Kannagaraj, and composer Anirudh, who previously worked together on the hit film “Master”. The film is produced by Lalit Kumar under 7 Screen Studio and co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy.

The film’s cast includes popular actors such as Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Arjun. The pooja ceremony for the film recently took place at AVM studios in Chennai. The official announcement teaser for the film is expected to release on February 3rd at 6.07 PM.

According to sources, the film’s shoot will occur over four days in Chennai, with the majority of filming taking place in Kashmir. In a recent interview, director Lokesh Kannagaraj stated that once the official announcement is made, he will confirm whether Thalapathy 67 is part of the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) or not. However, it is confirmed that Thalapathy 67 is a standalone film that will be released in two parts and is not part of the LCU.

There is a buzz that the film’s digital rights have been acquired by Netflix for 160 crores, and its satellite rights have been acquired by Sun TV for 80 crores. Thalapathy 67 is poised to be one of the biggest Tamil films of all time, with pre-release business totaling nearly 500 crores.
