Ying Ying’s journey in the entertainment industry began in 2015 when she was spotted on campus and asked to participate in Mediacorp’s talent scouting competition Hey Gorgeous. She is one of the top three contestants and won the “Audience Choice Best Smile Award”.
In 2016, she made her acting debut as the female lead in Toggle’s web drama Run Rachael Run. Her outstanding performance in the drama was nominated for the “Best Leading Actress” at the Bilbao Web Fest 2016 in Spain. Ying Ying continued to impress with her acting skills in subsequent roles, such as a wilful young adult in Hero and a hare-brained waitress in 118 Season 2 in 2017, which earned her a nomination for “Best Newcomer” at the Star Awards 2018.
She was nominated for the “Best Supporting Actress” award at the Star Awards 2019 for her role in the drama. In 2019, she acted alongside Fann Wong in the Chinese drama Walk With Me.
