GP Muthu, whose full name is Ganesan Pechi Muthu, is an Indian YouTuber and TikTokker who is known for appearing as a contestant on season 6 of Bigg Boss Tamil (2022). He is from Udankudi, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, and is a school dropout. He is 37 years old as of 2022.

Muthu started working with his father in his jewelry shop, but unfortunately, their business failed. Later, he decided to become a carpenter, but during the Covid-19 pandemic, even this business suffered losses.

In order to distract himself from the losses, Muthu started posting ten to fifteen videos on TikTok and gained millions of followers there. He usually posted comic videos in the southern dialect.

After gaining a huge fan base on TikTok, the platform was banned in India in 2020 which led to his attempting suicide. Later, he started posting his videos on Instagram and YouTube. In an interview, he talked about the banning of TikTok in India and said, “Every morning, the first thing I do is check TikTok. I was very disappointed when I saw the news today morning and realized that TikTok was banned by the Indian government. This is only an entertainment platform and you can distract yourself from stress. My fans on the platform constantly tell me that they feel very relaxed after seeing my videos. People of different age groups used this platform. I am very sad.”

In 2022, GP Muthu appeared in the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6. He was known for his sense of humor and entertaining performances. He also won the Unarvugal award for his performances in the show.

GP Muthu is married and has two sons and two daughters. He is also known for his controversies, in 2020 he attracted controversy when he commented on actress Meera Mitun. The actress took to social media to announce that she would file a police complaint against him for making derogatory comments about her. In 2021, a person named M.M.K Muhaideen filed a complaint to the Superintendent of Police of Ramanathapuram district in which he said that many YouTubers used obscene language in their videos that went viral on social media. He also appeared in a film along with actress Sunny Leone in 2021. He is now a contestant in Cook with Comali season 4.
